The COVID-19 pandemic has created an additional construction site safety challenge that needs to be carefully managed.  All businesses must do their part to stem the spread of the virus and the proper display of COVID-19 safety signs is the place to start.

COVID-19 signage can be broken down into two key groups as set out here:

• COVID-19 enhanced measures: these safety signs communicate the company-specific COVID-19-related rules for the site which should meet or exceed government stipulations.  These are usually displayed at the site entrance or by the construction trailer. They describe screening procedures for workers and visitors, how to maintain proper hygiene throughout the site, and how social/physical distancing should be maintained.
• Social /physical distancing: these safety signs should be displayed throughout the site to remind workers and visitors to wear a mask and keep at least 6 feet apart at all times.
